Another Aeromatic chinese whats it worth thread with the tourbillon twist.

I have done the searches and have seen the responses from aeromatic owners on the lower price watches from the 80 to 150 range.

I am looking for a flying tourbillon that I can afford and I have seen the links to the millon smart and minorva tourbillon versions.

They have a price of about 450.

I found this one on ebay and after doing a completed listing search, I estimate the reserve is about 800 – 1000.

Does anyone think they are worth this amount or is the risk to great.

The chinese tourbillons renamed samson seem to go for aout 450-500 same question applies,.

Thanks for any replies.

As far as I can tell, that looks like the same tourbillon as used by Million Smart, which I believe comes from Liaoning.

It s been cosmetically reworked.

That in itself would not justify that higher price; but on the other hand a tourbillon for 450 not always easy to come by in the style of your preference, so perhaps the higher price is more normal .

Besides, with Aeromatic you can at least search the forums for an impression of customer satisfaction regarding the rest of their range.

Also bear in mind when quoting Minorva that they assemble tourbillon watches using movements from Liaoning, Shanghai, PTS and Sea-Gull so prices across their range may vary greatly e.

a Shanghai auto-winding coaxial tourbillon will surely set you back more than a PTS flying carousel-tourbillon .

As for the risk involved in buying a low cost tourbillon which still amounts to a substantial outlay ; I ve been looking around for a while for reports on the performance of these .

So far I ve seen several positive initial impressions, no negative reports, but no long-term running reviews either.

Aeromatic 1912 Opinions.

Spotted this, which I thought was rather nice can t find it for sale anywhere, which is a separate issue .

I m aware that Aeromatic 1912 is a bit of a cheapo brand and given Eta don t do tourbillons as far as i m aware i m guessing its in-house or possibly a Sea-Gull which I imagine would make it a bit of a PITA to get serviced or repaired if it did go wrong, and for a 1200 tourbillon that doesn t seem enormously unlikely eventually given you re going to be dropping 50,000 plus for a tourbillon normally.

Does anyone have experience with the brand, and especially their higher-end models.
